Edit Documents Together with Coworkers Simultaneously using OnlyOffice
Nowadays, a NAS doesn’t have to only play the role of a storage server. Today’s consumers are hoping that a storage server can help solve issues related to information storage as well as maximizing value. While many people take a set-and-forget mentality with a NAS, a NAS can also be used as a collaboration platform.

There are two major advantages to using NAS for collaboration. Avoiding using the Internet for document editing as outages can interrupt a connection making important and confidential data inaccessible to the company as well as accessible to government agents and service providers. Public cloud services are also less private than a local NAS and not as easy to manage.

ASUSTOR is happy to announce OnlyOffice will be supported on an ASUSTOR NAS. OnlyOffice is a third-party office suite that supports document editing by multiple people simultaneously. OnlyOffice integrates with NextCloud or OwnCloud to make it easy to build an in-house collaboration platform.
